Swimming is an essential life skill. But did you know there are different types of swim programs designed to meet different needs? At PARC and Pines, we offer a range of programs to suit all ages, abilities, and goals.

Here’s a breakdown of three trusted options:

PARC Swim – Ongoing Lessons for long term progression

PARC Swim is our year-round swimming lesson membership, perfect for children who want to develop their swimming skills over time.

  • Structure: Weekly lessons, designed to support long-term progression.
  • Benefits: Consistent skill development, personalised guidance, and a clear learning pathway.
  • Extras: PARC Swim is an ongoing membership which provides year round,unlimited access to PARC and Pines pools all year round, so your child can practice outside of their swimming lessons – and have fun in the water! PARC Swim also offers no debit periods, make up lessons if you are unwell or away, and discounts for multiple children enrolled.
  • Timing: All year round, enrol when it suits you.
  • Ideal for: Families looking for structured, ongoing swim lessons and skill improvement over time. PARC Swim offers classes 7 days per week, and is open for infants aged 6 months old to adults. 

VICSWIM – Intensive Summer Holiday Program

VICSWIM is our summer intensive program, perfect for kids looking for a fun, focused boost in swimming over January.

  • Structure: One-week intensive program with 5 x 30-minute lessons, same time each day.
  • Benefits: Low-cost, intensive learning to improve swimming skills and water safety quickly.
  • Timing: Runs over summer holidays at PARC and Pines.
  • Ideal for: Children aged 4–12 who want a short, concentrated program to improve their swimming during the holidays.

Can Swim – Fully Funded Water Safety Program

Can Swim focuses on the essential water safety awareness and skills to keep the Frankston community safer around the water. 

  • Structure: Fully funded programs teaching minimum vital skills to prevent drowning.
  • Benefits: Ensures participants learn the basics of water safety and survival in the water.
  • Timing: Public programs are running in January 2026, with expressions of interest open in November 2025.
  • Ideal for: Families looking for essential water safety awareness and lifesaving skills at no cost, ensuring everyone can be safe in and around water.
